MSB Supply Chain Management currently have a position available for a Bid Manager for our prestigious multinational client. Responsibilties: To manage, direct and be accountable for the delivery of costed, business winning proposals, on time, to a given high standard and to budget. The Bid Manager will be responsible for the management of opportunity specific schemes and services to design and cost responses from a range of requests, including Request for Proposal (RFP), Invitation To Tender (ITT) and initiated proposals. The Bid Manager will be expected to simultaneously manage more than one opportunity at various stages of the bid lifecycle. The values of bids will range from thousands of pounds through to complex tender submissions worth hundreds of millions of pounds. The effectiveness of this post is key to the success of income The Bid Manager will follow the bid process in line with written procedures to ensure that all steps help achieve the company`s overall business objectives. This will commence following the initial opportunity review (bid*no bid) through to implementation and handover of a contract to delivery, including all aspects of costing, pricing and written documentation. This individual will be responsible for: - · Co-ordinating and driving company resources to submit timely and professional bids. · Account * Sales team sales support. · Carrying out subjective risk analysis of each bid. · Pricing the bid to maximise margins whilst remaining competitive. · Identifying the operational labour resource requirements of bids and planning for forecasted wins in conjunction with Sales and Operations Planning. · Production of high quality documentation ranging from variation letters through to multi-volume tender responses, each document being technically and commercially robust and championing the company as the supplier of choice. · Handover of bid documentation for mobilisation and implementation of new contracts or variations to contracts including all necessary information for a professional implementation process.
