My client is a multi-national Pharmaceutical Company based just west of London. They are now seeking to recruit a Medical Communications Manager to provide information about products and therapy areas for customers and patients. The Medical Communications Manager will effectively manage a small team in developing and delivering medical communications activities throughout Europe and will need to contribute to Medical Communications on a global basis.
Your team will often be the first points of contact for external customers and key opinion leaders so excellent customer skills are necessary for this role. You should also be capable of working in a pan-European environment and develop close working relationships with the medical information department, clinical development, medical managers, product managers and marketing colleagues from across Europe and senior decision makers in the USA.
It is essential that candidates have: 1. At least a BSc in relevant biological subject (eg biology, pharmacology, physiology) 2. Experience of planning and executing effective advisory boards and key opinion leader (KOL) meetings 3. Excellent written and spoken English 4. Confident presentation and man-management skills 5. The ability to interpret and summarize complex medical data 6. A minimum of four years providing information or communication services, in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry 7. A willingness to travel overseas
