Graduate Unix Software Release Engineer - £16k to £20k p.a. + Bonus Graduates with very strong working knowledge of Unix hardware and OS (Solaris Sparc, HP-UX , AIX or FreeBSD ) are required for our Oxfordshire client as a Software Release Engineer. This job is suitable for a graduate with excellent hardware & OS skills -- you`ll be someone who lives and breathes computers and OS`s. In addition to a good working knowledge of at least one Unix OS (Solaris Sparc, HP-UX , AIX or FreeBSD), you will also have experience of working with Unix mail systems and ideally scripting and Linux*Windows skills. The main responsibility of the position are building, preparation, and release of software distributions, working closely with the development teams to deliver services to agreed timeframes, using secure procedures for the preparation and clean compilation of release code. Accuracy and an eye for detail are imperative, and you should be a responsible and reliable team player.
