The announcement text: VBN Customer Support Engineer - Cambridge - £16-£20k plus benefits

Our client in the Cambridge area is looking for a customer support engineer to work alongside the development and sales teams. They will be responsible for delivering a quality support service to our clients demanding and growing customer base. Candidates should be confident, enthusiastic and have experience of a similar role.

Responsibilities will include: Provide telephone hotline support, including advice and technical assistance and support to a wide range of customers and partners. Manage resources and response prioritisation using a CRM. Investigate, analyse and resolve problems encountered during use of VBN (ASP-based) applications. Work with the development team to test and implement new systems and support existing software. Provide user documentation and technical information for use in training and the user group website. Carry out acceptance testing for customer websites, taking responsibility for carrying out agreed changes. Train customers in use of Administration and Structure tools and carry out scheduled changes to customer websites, including design, structure and style amendments.
You must be familiar with web-based technologies. Specifically some knowledge of html, scripting languages and databases would be beneficial. * Good customer relationship skills. Clear and effective communicator, both spoken and written.Good time management. Team worker, but able to be self-reliant. Willingness to develop new skills. Training or presentation experience preferable.
