Based in the Home Counties, our client is a market leader in their field, they develop, design and manufacture a wide range of general purpose and high performance AC Inverter Drives and integrate them into system applications for various industrial markets world-wide.
The position of Engineering Manager will control the successful hardware and software design of all system contracts, controlling hardware and software Application Engineers who commission systems in the field.
You will plan, assign and supervise engineering personnel for all company contracts*projects and tasks in addition to own ‘hands on’ project design responsibilities. You will consider and make recommendations for improvements and*or changes in company engineering procedures and be responsible for progressive engineering standards and product development to enable the company to operate effectively and competitively in existing and new markets.
Preferably of graduate calibre the successful candidate will have experience of power electronics, analogue*digital control techniques, microprocessors & DC and AC motor technology in addition to design of software associated with PLC and*or microcomputers operating in real time.
